S - Series received Golden Ear Award from The Absolute Sound
Steinway Lyngdorf is extremely pleased to announce that the S - Series has received the renowned Golden Ear Award 2012 from the American audio magazine The Absolute Sound.
Only the most outstanding products reviewed during the past year are selected for the prestigious Golden Ear Award. Editor-in-Chief Robert Harley singled out the S - Series for particular praise due to “…unconstrained dynamics, ultra-smooth response and vanishingly low distortion levels.”
That The Absolute Sound found the performance of the S - Series to be above reproach isn’t all that surprising, given the fact that Robert E. Greene bestowed an Editor’s Choice award upon the S - Series in the same magazine in February 2012. He cites the indisputable wisdom of the system setup with corner woofers and wall-mounted midrange and treble units as “…arguably being the best way there is to project speaker sound into a room.”
Almost as an afterthought, Harley tips his hat to Steinway Lyngdorf’s design competencies, noting with satisfaction that the system’s elegance and modest size render the system “utterly convincing” as well as a contender to the mantle of representing “the future of audio.”
